Karuna was first inspired at a very young age by her parents and Grandmother who are expert Indian gourmet cooks. In fact, Iguana Chocolate is the culmination of a culinary journey which began in South Africa with her experimenting in the home kitchen at the age of 3, much to the horror of her Gran.

Over the years her adventures led her to become a cake decorator, confectioner, Indian vegetarian chef and she does a very good Italian too.

Karuna started Iguana Chocolate at her local village of Lesmahagow in Scotland, selling her chocolates at the Highland Games and various village fairs throughout the Clyde Valley.

She is always seeking new flavours and quality ingredients on her journeys through the country. Some of her ingredients are picked and dried or candied by herself, resulting in a variety of delicacies to suit the palate of everyone.
